PGS Lecture Series 2021-01: Mariño Deocariza on geographic thinking in urban resilience

Mariño Deocariza (Oxfam-GB) will give a talk entitled Geographic Thinking in Community Resilience Projects on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2pm. 

Presently serving as program manager of BRUC (Building Resilient Urban Communities) with field sites in La Trinidad (Benguet), Malay (Aklan), Janiuay (Iloilo), and Del Carmen (Siargao), Mr Deocariza’s talk draws from projects that advocate for climate change resilience in Asian urban cities that highlight applied geography and geographic thinking. Mariño Deocariza is an urban planner and erstwhile faculty member of the UP Department of Geography.
