NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GEOGRAPHICAL STUDIES 2019
Tracing spatialities and entanglements in networked worlds

The National Conference on Geographical Studies (NCGS) 2019 serves as a venue for geographers, scholars and other practitioners to discuss a range of topics that are not only cutting-edge in the field of Geography but are also relevant to addressing the many social and environmental issues we face in an increasingly interconnected world. In NCGS 2019, we seek various and novel ways of tracing spatialities and entanglements, undertaking academic interventions and productive conversations using diverse theoretical and practical approaches. The NCGS 2019 serves as a node for conversation among geographers and scholars whose research attend to the processes, practices, discourses and materialities that set places and spaces in the Philippines and elsewhere into networked worlds.
We invite scholars and practitioners from all fields to share their research whether in paper, poster or video format. Research may be on, though not limited to, the following areas:

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Paper Presentations
Abstracts may be submitted to the NCGS secretariat at ncgs.ph@gmail.com on or before August 30, 2019. Submissions must be in Word format and should include an abstract of 150-250 words, keywords (3-5) and the author/s name, affiliation, email address and bionote. Decisions on abstracts will be released on September 13, 2019. Presenters of accepted abstracts are encouraged to register by September 23, 2019 which is also the deadline for the early bird rate.
Panel Sessions
We are also calling for panel sessions that will feature critical social and theoretical issues relevant to geography. For panel session proposals, submissions must be in Word format and should include a 150-250 word description of the panel, keywords (3-5), and at least three panelists, with their names, institutional affiliation, email address and bionote. Decisions on panel sessions will be released on September 13, 2019. Participants of accepted panel proposals are enjoined to register by September 23, 2019 which is also the deadline for the early bird rate. Submit your panel proposals to the NCGS secretariat at ncgs.ph@gmail.com on or before August 30, 2019.
